Quality & Compliance Engineer

We are looking to add a Quality & Compliance Engineer to our Team!

What will you be doing:

The Quality & Compliance Engineering role at 4moms includes:

  • Facilitate Safety, Quality & Compliance Requirements
  • Provide training/coaching on these requirements throughout design process
  • Conduct safety and risk assessments on prototypes
  • Develop and Implement Product Qualification Testing
  • Work with Product Engineers to develop Testing Methods and Specifications
  • Evaluate testing results
  • Evaluate Key Product Performance Indicators
  • Initiate Supplier Corrective Action Requests (SCAR)
  • Facilitate Internal Corrective and Preventative Actions (CAPA)
  • Provide ongoing product production support
  • Provide coaching/mentoring on key quality concepts
  • Assist the Quality Technicians & Product Engineers in the evaluation of product returns and introducing of product quality improvements
  • Facilitate continuous improvement at the supplier level
  • Provide timely product quality issue mitigation
  • Evaluate inspection methods & techniques
  • Ability to understand and interpret key juvenile physical standards (ASTM, EN, etc); regulatory, chemical, BT, electrical requirements in countries of sale
  • Facilitate 4moms compliance documentation:  Declaration of Conformance, Bedding registration, etc.

What we need from you:

  • Demonstrated team leadership qualities
  • Understanding of key quality concepts
  • Self-starting attitude
  • Proficiency in MS Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Willingness to learn and can-do attitude
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally (~20%)

Nice to Haves:

  • B.S. in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering
  • M.S. in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering, Electrical, Quality, Mechatronics, Robotics, would be a plus
  • Experience in the Juvenile industry
  • Experience dealing with juvenile compliance and regulatory standards
  • Experience dealing with juvenile and consumer product regulations
